Patrick Shannon received his B.A in French Literature and Philosophy from the University of Alberta in 2011, and degrees in Common Law and Civil Law from McGill University in 2015. He articled with the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre and with Vogel LLP in Calgary. Patrick was called to the Alberta Bar in May of 2016. 

Patrick has interned at legal clinics in Montreal and with the Children's Legal & Educational Resource Centre in Calgary. He has been active in legal academia, attending symposiums and conferences on topics relating to civil rights, the environment, and access to justice. During law school, he worked as an Associate Managing Editor with the McGill International Journal of Sustainable Law, Development and Policy.

When he isn't practicing law, Patrick likes to read a good book, hike, travel, meditate and play chess.
